About The Junior Guilders
Founded in 1983, the Junior Guilders have won great acclaim throughout the United States. The company consists of talented and enthusiastic young people ages 7-16. Their demanding repertoire includes folk, jazz, blues and rock and roll. The fast paced extensive format with outstanding choreography of their shows has been enthusiastically received throughout the United States and Europe.
The remarkable proficiency which the company brings to performances has been demonstrated in hundreds of programs. From local churches, schools, service clubs, state conventions, Walt Disney World, Opryland Park U.S.A., as a back up chorus for the late Sheri Lewis and Lamb Chop in the "Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade", Chautauqua Institution, performing three times with ABBA tribute bands at Chautauqua, performing with Natalie Merchant, performing at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, as well as in Branson Missouri, where they received a standing ovation at the Mel Tillis Theatre. They have been featured in Washington as Performers for a Congressional dinner honoring former Congressman, Amo Houghton. The Guilders have most recently performed at Hersheypark in Hershey, PA.
The company's ever changing program, complete with appropriate costuming reaches approximately 45 different audiences a year. Their extensive repertoire allows customized programming for any audience and has a wide audience appeal for all ages.
Almost yearly, the Guilders perform a production at their home, the Lucille Ball Little Theater of Jamestown in the fall and/or the spring.
